Credit card Yonder Announces Launch of Flights to its Rewards Programme With new Ad "The Useless Companion"

Jun. 10, 2024

The rewards credit card Yonder has today released The Useless Companion - a playful ad that marks the introduction of flights to its rewards programme.

Unlike the flight-based rewards offered by its rivals, Yonder points can be used with any airline, to any destination and at any time, without the need for vouchers or activation codes - limitations that are often expressed as pain-points in public reviews by customers of competitors. The Useless Companion highlights these pain points, disguising them as a discussion about a seemingly tricky relationship in therapy before the reveal.

The script was loosely based on Trustpilot reviews left by the customers of other providers after trying to spend their points on flights, and the ad ends with the offer of a free guided meditation for any viewers who may relate to the same frustration.

Developed by Yonder and produced by Perspective Pictures, the 60 second ad is available to watch on YouTube.
