Eyeballs Builds a new Digital Home for No Sushi’s Emmy-Winning Editorial Talent
Aug. 13, 2026
Visibility agency Eyeballs has launched a new website for No Sushi, rebuilding the post production company’s digital presence around its growing roster of Emmy-winning editorial talent.
The new website, live at nosushi.com, reflects No Sushi’s evolution into a filmmaker-first post house that brings leading film and television editors into the world of commercials.
Its roster includes editorial talent behind acclaimed productions including The Bear, Shōgun, Atlanta, The Studio, The White Lotus, Severance, The Last Dance and Hacks.
No Sushi’s distinctive brand identity was created by branding and design company chillidrop. Eyeballs worked with that established visual language throughout the new website, translating and extending it into a fully considered digital experience.
While No Sushi already had a strong and recognisable identity, the structure and technology underpinning its previous website were limiting its ability to communicate the company’s new positioning.
Eyeballs rebuilt the website from the ground up, retaining the wit, character and visual personality of the original branding while reconsidering every page around the company No Sushi has become.
The new experience places No Sushi’s roster at the centre of the site. Expanded editor profiles bring together individual reels, biographies, selected work and prominent awards sections, giving visitors a clearer understanding of the experience and creative pedigree behind each editor.
James Straker, Co-Founder of Eyeballs said:
"Websites in our industry are not simply places to store work. They influence how a company is understood, how its talent is valued and whether a potential client wants to start a conversation. No Sushi already had a brilliant identity and an exceptional roster, but its website needed to communicate the full value of both. Our job was to connect the company’s positioning, branding, the content and the technology so that everything told the same story.”
- A smoother way to experience the work
A major focus of the rebuild was removing friction from the viewing experience.
On the previous site, visitors selecting a project were directed to a separate page containing an embedded Vimeo player. They then needed to start the video, return to the previous page and repeat the process each time they wanted to explore another piece of work.
The new website allows films to play instantly when a visitor selects a project thumbnail. Eyeballs also introduced a playlist-style experience, allowing users to move immediately between films within a collection without repeatedly navigating backwards and forwards through the site.
The result is a faster, more immersive experience that encourages visitors to explore more of No Sushi’s work and talent.
Navigation has also been simplified through a persistent menu that remains accessible as users move through a page. Contact information has been reorganised to make it easier to find, while transitions, loading sequences and interactions have been refined throughout the site.
- One connected platform behind the website
The new site is powered by Eyeballs CMS, a bespoke video-first content management system developed specifically for companies working in the creative industries.
Previously, No Sushi managed its films through Vimeo and its website content through Webflow. This meant maintaining two separate platforms, duplicating parts of the publishing process and relying on tools that could easily fall out of sync.
Bringing video delivery, content management and website hosting together within one platform, No Sushi can now upload and organise their films, create thumbnail loops, feature selected work across different pages, update roster profiles and manage awards and biographical information from one connected system.
The platform also addresses common presentation issues, including cropping films with different aspect ratios so that they can sit consistently within a website grid without unwanted black bars.
Mike Harmer, Co-Founder of Eyeballs said:
“Creative companies should not have to choose between a website that feels distinctive and one that is easy to manage. We wanted to give No Sushi both. The visitor sees a fast, playful and highly considered experience, while behind the scenes the team has a much simpler and more powerful way to manage the work. Because we control the content, video infrastructure and front end experience as one system, we can create interactions that would be extremely difficult to achieve using a patchwork of disconnected tools.”
Alex Jamieson, Founder and Managing Partner of No Sushi said:
“Eyeballs CMS has completely changed the way we manage our website. What used to be a fragmented and time consuming process across multiple platforms is now seamless. We can update work, manage our roster and evolve the site in real time without friction. It has fundamentally improved how we operate day to day.”
- Bringing No Sushi’s personality to life
The website uses the playful and distinctive brand world as the foundation for an experience filled with movement, interaction and unexpected details.
The homepage opens with animated sliding doors that reveal the company’s featured work. A moving sushi carousel presents the film and television productions represented across its roster, while a receipt printer inspired interaction combines live website data with editable messaging.
Illustrated menu interactions, scroll based reveals and smaller details including a floating Fugu fish, a knife hidden within the footer and an animated chopstick error page reward visitors who spend time exploring the site.
The approach reflects Eyeballs’ belief that creative industry websites should be extremely easy to use without becoming generic.
Alex Jamieson said:
“Our brand has always been a major part of what makes No Sushi feel different. chillidrop (aka Stephanie Violo) alongside illustrator, director and animator Julien Jourdain de Muizon created an identity and brand world that captured our irreverence and personality, and Eyeballs understood that we did not want to lose any of that as the business and our roster moved forward. They have brought that world to life online through a much stronger experience, one that gives our editors, their work and their achievements the prominence they deserve. It was an absolute pleasure from start to finish working with James and Mike at Eyeballs, and we couldn't be happier with results"
The new website forms part of a wider visibility programme between Eyeballs and No Sushi, connecting the company’s digital presence with its positioning, PR and social communications.
