
Josslyn Gao Joins HAMLET China as Executive Producer

HAMLET China have hired Executive Producer Josslyn Gao as Executive Producer in their Shanghai office.
Josslyn joins from Avatr to work alongside Managing Partner & EP Yimeng Zhang.
With an MA in Television from UAL (University of the Arts London), Josslyn has eight years of experience in film and television production in Shanghai and London contributing to the production and promotion of multiple TV dramas and reality shows.
Josslyn later transitioned to advertising production as an Executive Producer/Producer creating campaigns for Under Armour, Volkswagen, Hilton, Budweiser, Burberry, Baidu, UnionPay, Marie Claire and Mihoyo.
Her passion for film is evident in her directorial investigative documentary ‘Yellow Fever’ which has received, or been nominated for, several Oscar-qualified awards.
Yellow Fever is an investigative documentary that uses participants' first-hand tales of emotional abuse and pain in their interactions with racial obsessions to show viewers how the phenomena of Yellow Fever/Asian Fetish occur in contemporary culture.
Josslyn actively helps Asian women in the film industry amplify their voices. She is planning on launching her own platform to support Asian female filmmakers and is currently supporting female filmmakers by helping them to apply for funding and secure brand sponsorships.
