New Sustainable Pet Brand Robin Good Launches on Blue Monday

New Sustainable Pet Brand Robin Good Launches on Blue Monday

Jan. 16, 2024

Founded by branding expert, Manuela van den Berg, the new brand’s visual identity is made by GoodOrange and marketing strategy by Jessica Hartley.

Just as the world is suffering another Blue Monday, a new brand born in Amsterdam called Robin Good Pets is bursting onto the scene, promising to turn the gloomiest day of the year into something more positive. Or, rather, the animal version of that word: PAWSITIVE. The sustainable but punky start-up is a "rebel with a cause" that intends to build a community of like-minded pet lovers who want to bring animal-tinged joy and humour back into daily life. The brand is on a mission to show that seeing the world through your pet's perspective is a way to see the world from a more positive point of view.

The brand is the brainchild of creative brand strategist Manuela van den Berg, who has a long career in brand design management, working at Ahold, TomTom and HAK, amongst others.

Manu van den Berg, founder Robin Good, said:

"We create pet products and accessories that are charming - but not harming - for the planet. But we’re also all about being cheeky and rebellious - basically our brand is the lovechild of David Bowie and Robin Hood. But there’s more: Robin Good is on a mission to spread pawsitivity. A counterpoint to negativity, just like animals themselves."

The marketing strategy and verbal identity is created by London-born but Amsterdam-based PR strategist Jessica Hartley and her team.

The Robin Good range of products includes collars, leashes and harnesses that reflect Manu’s lively, colourful and rebellious creativity. They’re all made from locally sourced, upcycled materials and are guaranteed to make any dog or cat strut their funky stuff along the sidewalk of life.

The visual identity and design has been created by Thea Bakker, creative director and owner of design agency GoodOrange, who worked very closely with Manuela to bring her vision to life.

Thea Bakker, creative director and design lead said:

"As a "cats & dog mom," I feel ‘Pawsitivity' every day;) Bringing the visual identity of this rebellious, sustainable, and quirky brand to life was a delightful challenge."

Robin Good celebrates the crazy love between pets and ‘their servants’ by creating high-end pet lifestyle products and accessories that are not only fashion-forward, but also designed to last. Upcycled, sustainable and hand-crafted in Amsterdam with, somewhat appropriately, a lot of love and pawsitivity.

Manu van den Berg, founder Robin Good, said:

"If you’re tired of boring, mass-produced pet accessories, you’re in the right place.  Our sustainable harnesses & collars are handmade in Holland with upcycled materials like denim cut offs and vintage trimmings. Not only are they eco-friendly, but they’ll make your furry friend the coolest dog or cat in the park."
