Shackleton Launches The First Transactional Agency Website
Feb. 20, 2019
- Shackleton has launched its new website and, for the first time in the advertising agency world, developed an e-commerce platform under the name “e-agency” to provide remote end to end services to brands that can hire them from any location.
- Following a simple registration procedure, the process begins by completing an advertising brief form, including the signing of a virtual contract, and it concludes with payment of the service, which can even be made via PayPal.
- The new shackletongroup.com website has a very different design to the previous version, while remaining in keeping with the brand’s tone, and offers a new navigation logic which, among other things, makes it possible to search for agency case studies by adding criteria such as the date, communication goal, sector and format.
Since the times recreated by the acclaimed Mad Men, advertising agencies have dealt with their clients in person. This offers innumerable advantages, but thanks to technology, web tools and, above all, digital culture, it is now possible to explore new options.
Based on this premise, Shackleton has developed the first transactional agency website, a pioneering platform in the advertising sector through which brands from all over the world can contract all of its services using what we have dubbed the “e-agency”.
This new relationship model can be applied to any agency client, but at least in the initial phase there will be a special emphasis on those who are furthest away.
Pablo Alzugaray, president and CEO of Shackleton:
“Why not? It’s clear that the internet has gone beyond communications and embraced transactions. In addition, it’s fantastic when a notification suddenly pops up that starts off a job commissioned by someone in Sydney, Bariloche or Seattle, and everything can proceed in a simple and functional manner for both parties.”
David Ballester, creative director and director of digital innovation:
“We wanted to design the simplest and most efficient website possible. And there came a point in the process where we realised that being truly efficient goes beyond the design. In the present day, on our website you can carry out a project with us from start to finish in a few steps and without leaving the site. Because we believe that seeing our work should be as simple as contracting it.”
Lucía García, director of digital production & UX/CRO:
“E-agency is a disruptive product based on the UX strategy: it generates value by creating a new mental model that combines our business process with a digital interface. It reinvents the conception of how the agency-client relationship works, making it simpler and more efficient.”
The Shackleton e-agency envisages an end-to-end process…

…and integrates the possibility of choosing between project management tools such as Basecamp®, Slack® or Trello®, video conferencing tools such as Tokbox® and payment systems such as PayPal®.
As set out on the Shackleton e-agency website, services for the following projects can be hired through the site:
- Brand creation - nominal, visual and sensory identity.
- Definition of positioning, values and attributes.
- Digital ecosystem: web, app and social media.
- Product or product line launches.
- Lead and omni-channel traffic generation.
- Engagement, conversion and digital sales.
- Customer development: loyalty, anti-attrition, cross/up selling and CRM.
- Fund-raising.
Furthermore, the following can be consulted on the website:
- Work: selection of the best case studies developed by the agency.
- Jobs: talent search and recruitment.
- Buzz: news and updates.
