WoodShop Creates a Festive Holiday Spot for Pizza Hut
Dec. 21, 2020
Director Trevor Shepard applied WoodShop’s characteristic eye for detail when making Christmas magic for Pizza Hut. Spark your cravings and get in the holiday spirit while watching an adorable toy train crash into the Hut’s famous Triple Treat Box.
Shepard’s creative origins started as a designer/animator and art director, where he built a reputation for his attention to detail. Since joining WoodShop, he’s applied those skills to tabletop directing. Over the course of his career, he’s worked with notable brands like Microsoft, Nike, Toyota, AT&T, Visa, Pepsi, Doritos, and on lauded films like “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.”
Trevor Shepard shares:
"Shooting a holiday spot is always a highlight of the year. Yet, with this year being a bit of a train-wreck, why not shoot the Christmas train getting wrecked by a self-opening three layer pizza box! My love for Christmas decorations is barely eclipsed by my love of shooting food. So when given the opportunity to have fun with nostalgic Pizza Hut memorabilia, we decided to run with it and create a spot full of holiday cheer and piping hot pizza. And as always, the process of creating the Triple Treat Box holiday ad was just as fun as the final outcome. Working alongside Pizza Hut and GSDM, with their full support of our creative vision, was the gift of the season. Yet, I still hope Santa leaves a pizza under my tree and a few breadsticks in my stocking.”
