Yes&'s Latest Acquisition is Legendary DC Agency Williams Whittle
Feb. 21, 2025
Yes& is proud to announce its second acquisition of 2025, the legendary D.C. agency Williams Whittle. Earlier this month Yes& announced the acquisition of Beacon Digital Marketing (now operating as Yes& Beacon), a leader in B2B, fintech, cyber security, and SaaS marketing.
The acquisition of Williams Whittle will reverberate throughout the Washington area and beyond since the firm has thrived for more than 55 years as a full-service independent advertising agency. Williams Whittle’s services include research, strategy, branding, storytelling, PSA campaigns and activation, and the agency has specialized in nonprofit healthcare marketing, green marketing, military/veteran marketing, and social impact.
Rob Whittle, chairman and CEO at Williams Whittle said:
“After 51 years of personal involvement in and ownership of Williams Whittle, I am thrilled to pass the WW torch to Yes&. My employees have found a home that shares the ethical and professional standards that we worked so hard to achieve at WW.”
Robert Sprague, founder and CEO of Yes&, said:
“Williams Whittle’s experience is a natural fit for Yes&, as we already work extensively with foundations and other nonprofit organizations. By joining forces, we’re not only growing in staff and size, but we’re also expanding the possibilities for our clients in the nonprofit space.”
Yes& COO Zihla Salinas added:
“The merger of Yes&’s philanthropy team with Williams Whittle creates a formidable offering for nonprofit and foundation clients looking for deep sector expertise. Under the Yes& umbrella, this newly combined team will be able to take their capabilities, thought leadership, and proven methodologies even further.”
Williams Whittle is the latest of more than a dozen previous acquisitions by Yes&—including Lipman Hearne (an agency focused on higher education, not-for-profit, and philanthropy) in 2022, and last year’s purchase of CommCore Consulting Group (communications training and crisis communications for both commercial and government clients). Along with success in new business and organic growth, the acquisition strategy has made Yes& one of the fastest growing independent agencies in the world.
