McCafe Iced Delivers Feel-Good Summer Moments In New Campaign from Leo Burnett London
Jun. 06, 2017
In Leo Burnett’s new campaign for McDonald’s McCafé Iced, a young woman sitting on a bench outside a McDonald’s restaurant is fast forwarded to the fun, excitement and romance of her summer to come by the McCafé Iced drink she is sipping.
In the ad, when the woman takes a sip of McCafé’s new Raspberry Ripple Iced Cooler she is catapulted into the fun and frolics of the girls’ road trip she has planned which will lead to a summer romance.
As the summer moment fades and she returns to her bench, she excitedly takes another sip.
The idea is to show how McCafé Iced can deliver a “Quick burst of summer” by making you experience feel-good summer moments.
The campaign, which will run on TV, cinema and VOD with radio, outdoor, press, digital display and social, breaked on June 5 and will run until August 13.
Steve Howells, Head of Marketing, Food & Beverages at McDonald’s says:
To celebrate the start of British summertime, we’re delighted to have brought back our delicious McCafé Iced drinks, enabling our customers to choose from a range of thirst-quenching flavours. From our new and refreshing Raspberry Ripple Iced Cooler to the returning Frozen Strawberry Lemonade and Belgian Chocolate Honeycomb Iced Frappe, there is a flavour to cater to every whim. Our new advert encapsulates the zingy and mouth-watering taste sensations of our McCafé Iced drinks and the endless possibilities and experiences our customers can look forward to this summer, come rain or shine.”
