New Campaign #LetsGetThereSooner Launched To Lift Nation's Spirits On UK's Journey Out Of Lockdown
Mar. 04, 2021
A new campaign to lift our spirits and fuel our determination to put lockdown behind us is being launched on Thursday by a collective called Sooner including Sir Nigel Bogle and others.
In contrast to the severe mood and tone of the majority of the government’s pandemic communications, the Sooner campaign strikes a more positive note. The short film features clips sent in from members of the public telling us what they have missed most during the pandemic and are looking forward to, from a hug to a haircut. The voiceover urges us all to continue to stick to the rules.
“We all want our old life back. So let’s stick to the rules. And let’s get there sooner.”
Robert Campbell, founder of Outsider and a member of Sooner explained:
“The pandemic crisis is not over and it is imperative that we all stick to the rules. We sense a growing desire amongst friends, family and colleagues to inject some positivity and warmth into the messaging around the pandemic after a long hard winter. The #LetsGetThereSooner campaign is an opportunity for all of us to share our videos and photos on social media of the one thing we’ve missed most. This campaign comes from the people by the people.”
The campaign is supported by posters around the country.
