Ad of the Day | Betclic Helped Fans Keep up with the Champions League Match

On February 14th at 21:00 an important Champions League match was being played, meaning fans at Valentine’s dinners couldn’t watch it. Betclic invited some selected users and their partners to a special Valentine’s dinner: a chef cooked a 10-course meal that reflected in real time what was happening on the match. 

During last Valentine’s Day, Tuesday 14.02, fans all over the world were forced to choose between their two loves: football and their significant others.

This was because one of the most remarkable matches of this year’s Champions League round of 16, which confronted Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, took place on February 14th at 21:00, time at which countless couples were celebrating romantic dinners on the occasion of Valentine’s Day.

Being trapped at romantic restaurants, without access to the match TV broadcasting or even their smartphones, under the penalty of bad looks from their partners, fans were left to only imagine what was the outcome of the match, and the bets they placed on it.

But that was not the case for a group of lucky men. Bookmaker Betclic invited a selected group of users, and their partners, to an unexpected Valentine’s dining experience in Warsaw, Poland.

During said dinner, a chef cooked 10 courses in real time; these courses reflected, through the choice and placement of the ingredients of each dish, the main events of the match: goals, red and yellow cards, offsides, free kicks and even VAR.
