That is how McDonald's Sweden’s founder Paul Lederhausen and his wife Iréne started Ronald McDonald House, in memory of their daughter Erica. Since 1993, over 50,000 Swedish families have been able to live close to the care their children need. McDonald's proudly and regularly donates money to the charity.
